The Site is Open Every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April through November. Opening and closing dates can be found here.


  • Municipal Permit is required.  You can purchase the permit online here. If you have not previously applied for a permit, you must register for the site. 
  • Open April 1st through November 26, 2022 (weather permitting).  
  • Grass, clippings, leaves, and brush accepted every Friday and Saturday. 
  • Christmas Trees accepted on Saturday, January 6th and January 13, 2024. Note: Tree drop off is at Mill Street site.  Permit is not required for Christmas Tree drop off.

Location


Battis Road is the Yard Waste site for 2023.


The Yard Waste Site is located on Battis Road, take Church Street which becomes Highland Road, and Battis Road is the last left just before the New Hampshire border.


Town Permit Required


Permits are required for making drop offs. Town permits must be renewed yearly. Residents must register and purchase a town yard waste permit online here.   If you have not used the online program before, you MUST be registered on the site first before you can move forward to purchase your permit. You will receive the permit in your email. Print the permit and put it on your dashboard for entry to the site. Please remove old stickers from windshield. 
  
 *2023 Permit fees:  Seniors(70+)$20/year; Residents-$50/year; Commercial(Local) $500/year.  Commercial Customers-Call the DPW 978-346-0525 before purchasing a sticker.  

There is a new permitting software used for online registration and payment. You will be able to pay for your yard waste site permit by using your credit/debit card or by using your bank account. You MUST be registered on the site first before you can move forward to purchase your permit. For return users, simply log in using the same credentials used previously. Leaves, Grass, & Clippings


Acceptable items include leaves, grass, and clippings every Friday and Saturday. No garbage allowed. Take all bags with you.


Brush Collection


Brush will be accepted every Friday and Saturday.  Acceptable items include only brush. No roots, dirt, trash, or trunks over 3 inches diameter will be accepted. Lay sticks and branches neatly in piles. The site monitor has the authority to refuse drop off of unacceptable materials. Please help keep the site open by following the rules for drop off.
