Outreach

Outreach Coordinator
The Merrimac COA Senior Center employs a part-time Outreach Coordinator who works Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m.  to 2 p.m. The Outreach Coordinator is available to meet with seniors or their families in the office or by appointment in their homes to assess needs, discuss services and programs available in the community, provide advocacy and support and make referrals. The Outreach Coordinator can assist in a crisis and is a mandated reporter for suspected elder abuse.

The staff maintains strict confidentiality and no information shared with the Outreach Worker will be released to anyone without permission from the elder, including family members. The Outreach Coordinator is able to coordinate services with other agencies such as Public Health, Police, Fire, Hospital Social Workers, Nursing Homes, Rehab, Community Action, Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry and many other organizations as well as from families and elders themselves.

If you have any questions regarding services or assistance, need information or referrals, please call the Senior Center to speak with the Outreach Coordinator or the Director at 978-346-9549.
